A lazy Sunday calls for crafting. But a beautiful day calls for hanging out on the patio. To accomplish both, I finally did this for my hubby. He smokes cigars and wanted to come up with a way to display the bands. So I turned them into stickers and put them into a frame for him to put in the man cave.
Now that I’m done getting my blog up to date, I think it’s time for some outdoor knitting!
Time to get back on the ball. Starting with my bday.
It’s amazing what you can find in Vegas. Like baby dolphins…
Amazingly, I felt better enough by Friday to take a trip to Vegas. We were supposed to go to San Jose, but my sister in law had gotten sick, so that trip got cancelled/postponed. What do you do when you’ve already gotten the days off work and live in SoCal? VEGAS!
(note that I had planned to take all the pictures for the blog myself, but I guess pictures of me will count. haha)
That flu I mentioned really took it out of me. Looking back at the pictures I’ve taken, it seems that I forgot that I even own cameras. This is the first time I must have felt okay to take pictures again. And it was while I was enjoying a little sun on our hammock on a work from home day.
Valentine’s Day! We had grand plans for Valentine’s Day this year. We pretty much always just stay at home and eat a nice dinner, but this year we decided to change things up and go out. So we made reservations for a local restaurant that is supposed to be nice and have good martinis.
Life didn’t cooperate with our plans, though. Both of us ended up sick with the flu, so we had to cancel our reservations. So we went back to our usual plan. We had a nice dinner, and I tried to up the romance factor with some candles. Not the Valentine’s Day we planned, but nice nonetheless.
So sad. I took a picture, but it’s so blurry that you can’t even see what it is. So no picture to post. Too bad that was the only picture I took all day. Oh well, there’s always Valentine’s Day to make up for the epic fail.
I got Valentine’s flowers early. So pretty! I love getting flowers!
